Pastor Tony Serbousek
Pastor Tony Serbousek took his first appointment as a pastor over seven years ago. He has served as pastor of the former Twin Rivers United Methodist Parish which included churches in Silver Creek, Genoa and Monroe Nebraska. He has lived in Kansas for the last five years and has served churches including Saint Francis United Methodist Church and most recently as Senior Pastor at Abilene First United Methodist Church. Pastor Tony was ordained as an elder in full connection of the Great Plains Conference in 2023. His ordination was historic because he was part of the first class of ordinands to be ordained by the first Indigenous person to be elected as bishop in the United Methodist Church, Rev. David Wilson. He is also the first Oglala Lakota to be ordained as elder in the Great Plains Conference as well as the very first Indigenous person to be ordained by another Indigenous person in the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Tony has been involved in the communities he has served including being a board member to a local community foundation board, municipal library board and the executive board of the Abilene Neighbor to Neighbor organization. He looks forward to becoming more involved in the Concordia community now too. He also serves on the North Central Kansas District Committee On Ministry (DCOM) and is a member of the Great Plains Conference Committee On Native American Ministries (CONAM).
Pastor Tony is originally from Nebraska . He received his Bachelor of Arts degree (1995) from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE and his Master of Divinity degree (MDiv 2019) from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. Prior to becoming a United Methodist clergy, he was the 911 Director for the Chadron Police Department in Chadron, NE for nearly 16 years. During that time he was also organist/accompanist for 13 years at Immanuel Lutheran Church (ELCA) also in Chadron.

Lisa Valcoure, Administrative Assistant
Lisa has been a member of Concordia FUMC since 2018 and had been the Administrative Assistant since September of 2020.

Angie Gabel-McConkey, Christian Education Director
Angie served as the Christian Education Chairperson for the last several years, but her retirement from teaching allows her the opportunity to serve as the Christian Education Director starting in June of 2023.
Angie recently retired from teaching early childhood special education for the LCNCK cooperative serving young children with special needs in Concordia and several of the surrounding communities. She had been teaching in some capacity for 36 years!
Twenty years ago, when her children, Ian and Hadrian, were about 7 and 9, they became involved in Sunday School and Children’s Choir at Concordia First United Methodist Church. It soon felt like home, so they all became members. In addition to her two children, she has 2 grandchildren, Rowan and Tamsyn, who are her pride and joy.
As the Christian Education Director, Angie hopes to provide other young families a church home at Concordia First United Methodist Church.

Pam Campbell, Organist
Pam Campbell has played the organ for services at Concordia First UMC for over 35 years. She started at the early service as a student and has played for all types of services ever since.
Renata Knox, Choir Director
Renata started directing the choir at Concordia First UMC in the Fall of 2018. She is also an instrument repair technician at Tom’s Music House, teaches private woodwind lessons at Cloud County Community College, and performs in several community ensembles in the North Central Kansas area.
